Respite Care

Respite care is for those wishing to stay with us on a short-term basis, whether you temporarily need extra support or are recovering from an illness or operation. Generally our homes do not have a minimum or maximum length of stay. We are flexible so that we can help carers who need a break. In some cases we are also able to offer a 'book ahead' service. Respite care offers you the care, support and safety you need. Spending anything from a week to a month with us can also provide a short rest for those caring for you at home.

  • You can book your stay in advance to help with holiday or convalescence planning

  • Short notice breaks available

  • Emergency short term care subject to availability and assessment

  • Flexible length of stay – from one week

  • Round-the-clock care provided

  • Assistance if required with personal care such as bathing or dressing

  • Support in continuing with your daily routine

  • Get to know some of our residents

  • Take part in any of our activities

Residential Care

Our residential care is designed for elderly people who find it increasingly difficult to manage at home without additional help and support.

The main aim of our professional team of care staff is to ensure that each one of our residents enjoys a fulfilling lifestyle tailored to their specific needs. Provided by trained carers, residential care offers assistance with everyday activities, such as washing, dressing, eating and mobility. Our residents can be comfortable and confident in the knowledge that these areas of their life won’t be a struggle, so they can get on doing the things they love. Life the way you want it We are here for you – which is why we will do everything we can to make sure you’re happy, comfortable and cared for. From morning coffee to days out, we are always happy to go that extra mile. A warm welcome We encourage relatives to bring in personal items to make your room look more like home for when you arrive and, if possible, we suggest visiting during the day to give you more of an idea of what to expect. You’ll be introduced to all our key staff members and given a full tour of the home. When you arrive at one of our homes, you might feel overwhelmed and anxious, but, don’t worry, we’ll do everything we can to help you settle in. Prior to your arrival, we’ll learn a bit about you so we can pair you up with the right people.

Dementia Care

Focusing on strengths

For those living with dementia, communicating their needs and wishes can be difficult, which in turn can lead to isolation. Our dementia care programme focuses on an individual’s strengths to help find ways in which they can re-engage with their families, friends and the wider community.

First rate and up-to-date

Our dementia care has been developed by specialists and is constantly updated to reflect findings from the latest research. Members of staff undergo a bespoke dementia training course to ensure that they understand the various forms of dementia and how it can affect each individual. We gain an insight into residents’ life stories through recollections, reminiscence and sensory-based activities and community involvement, and provide the best beneficial therapies and treatments. All of our activities are person-centred. Our activity coordinators work individually with each resident to make sure there are activities tailored to their needs and interests.

Palliative Care

Respecting your wishes

We provide care for people who are nearing the end of their life but wish to remain in our caring, supportive and familiar environment. Our facilities provide a tranquil space, separate from the hustle and bustle of the rest of the home. Also known as “end-of-life care”, palliative care provides active physical care, pain and symptom management, and psychological, social, spiritual and practical support for individuals whose condition no longer responds to treatment.

Supporting residents and their families

We aim to ease suffering and enhance a person’s remaining life, helping them to live as well as possible with dignity and respect in their last days. We also offer support to families during this difficult time. Our staff working with palliative care residents have received specialist training in pain management, symptom relief and bereavement.
